Kompresor sentrifugal, kadang-kadang disebut kompresor radial, adalah sub-kelas dari turbomachinery penyerap kerja aksisimetris dinamis. Mereka mencapai kenaikan tekanan dengan menambahkan energi ke aliran fluida yang terus menerus melalui rotor/impeller. Persamaan berikut menunjukkan masukan energi spesifik ini.
Dynamic Compressor menggunakan vane atau impeller yang berputar pada kecepatan tinggi sehinggah menghasilkan volume udara kompresi yang besar. Dynamic Compressor memiliki dua jenis, yaitu kompresor sentrifugal (radial flow) dan aksial.
